About the role

The process/supply chain engineer will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, validating and monitoring of the production related processes to improve quality and accuracy, customer service, and safety and to reduce the rejection rate and the cost of good. The process/supply chain engineer is the key interface between the company and the suppliers. The person is responsible for translating the Business requirements into optimal, efficient and integral manufacturing processes. He/she standardizes supply chain processes and continuously improves the supply chain performance. On timely manners, he also monitors and supports the work of the manufacturing technicians and quality technicians in a manufacturing plant, oversee the record keeping of the team, and prepare appropriate reports for quality management. He also assists in evaluation of the suppliers’ KPIs.

As the Amber Implants is in the development stage, “product industrialization” will inevitably be a part of this job. Therefore, the process/supply chain engineer be responsible for performing the plan to complement business goals and supply chain, manufacturing strategy.
During an NPI (new product introduction), he/she will be in the assisting for the execution and release of new product introductions in the supply chain & manufacturing (design transfer) with minimal disruption of actual production.

What you will do

  • Perform and control the entire manufacturing and supply chain related processes and logistics under the quality system of the company
  • Assist to the the short to mid-term manufacturing plans
  • Monitor (and if necessary, help to define) the supply chain settings, policies and planning priorities
  • Assisting in optimization of production processes for product industrialization, increasing the capacity and reduce costs
  • Assist in medical device transfer (i.e. creation of the DMR, controlling the drawings, quality inspection instructions, training of the technicians for manufacturing related instructions and etc.)
  • Ensure that sourcing strategies are properly executed
  • Communication with the company and vendors on weekly basis
  • Manage the logistics in the supply chain
  • Supports the execution of regulatory compliance improvement activities and QMS activities (closely works with QA team),
  • Supports manufacturing from technical part (closely works with Design team)
  • Monitor relevant Supply Chain KPIs and identify and implement improvements for supply chain and logistic processes and cost
  • Prepare monthly S&OP and quarterly RFF
  • Provides information for management reporting and makes reports

You have

  • University Degree in technical or business administration
  • Minimum 2 and maximum 5 years’ experience in NPI or SCM environments
  • Proven experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and preferably in German
  • Excellent communication and presentation and moderator skills
  • Team player with good cooperation and information conduct, and ability to work as member in international teams
  • Preferably knowledge and experience in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Ability to work from the office
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards governing the medical device industry (ISO 13485, MDR)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, ability to manage complex projects, problems and structures while overseeing the big picture, Independence and decision-making ability
